Martin went to Grand Valley State University after high school and studied Business Administration for four years. From there he went out west to explore and work in the Ski Resort Industry. He took roles in shipping & receiving, retail management, fulfillment management and accounting. In 2010 he moved back to the West Michigan area and for the last four years before taking over the family business, he worked as an Accounting Manager for an Advertising Company in Grand Haven. Martin loves sports and when he isn’t working, you can find him playing beach volleyball, racing dirt bikes cross-country or downhill skiing during the winter months.

Jon M Ryerson

Jon J Ryerson

Jon has over 25 years experience in the industry. He supervised crews installing septic systems, city water lines and city sewer lines for the family business before spending 12 years working as a project manager for an excavating company in Colorado. Jon focuses on managing projects, safety and equipment. You will usually find him operating the excavator on job sites. In his spare time Jon enjoys hunting, fishing and just being outdoors.

Jeremy Kennedy

Excavating Foreman

Jeremy is our excavating foreman and the brother-in-law of Jon and Martin.  He previously spent two years working for the Ryerson’s followed by ten years working in the construction business with his father.  Before coming back to the Ryerson’s in 2020 he spent six years as a supervisor for an environmental clean up company where he specialized in safety and customer relations.  When not on the job site, you can find Jeremy spending time with his family and friends, hunting or keeping up with his Taxidermy business.
